The Cascade Designs crew at the trail.

Long before it became the politically correct environmental thing to do, Cascade Designs had been quietly, attentively tending to the wildlands. Every weekend, it seems, one of our employees hits the trail for fun and relaxation. But there is one trail, the Snow Lake Trail in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness near Snoqualmie Pass just 50 miles east of Seattle, that is special to us. In 1994, the employees of Cascade Designs adopted this trail, one of the most heavily used in the Cascade Mountains. Under the direction of the U.S. Forest Service and the Washington Trails Association, we have continued to keep it in top trekking condition. For this we received the 1996 Good Works Environmental Award from PBS station KCTS in Seattle. We also sponsor and maintain a paddle-only campsite on Vashon Island as part of the Cascadia Marine Trail on Puget Sound.
