River Law Poster-Handouts
The brief basics of river law and public rights on rivers
Put these poster-handouts in your boat or bag so you can defend your rights while rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, or recreating on rivers, or take copies to hand out at your local government hearings, club meetings, or to your river companions. Hang up the poster-handout on community bulletin boards, in your outdoor store or fly shop, at coffee houses, or wherever others will be able to read it (with appropriate permission). The poster-handout gives people the following:
- A compelling introduction to river law, citing the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions and Acts of Congress.
- Opens people's minds to the existence of public rights on small rivers.
- Lets people know about the book, Public Rights on Rivers, which tells the whole story.
