The brief basics of river law and public rights on rivers

Put a handout in your boat or bag so you can defend your rights while rafting, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, or recreating on the river, or take it to hand out at your local government hearings, club meetings, or river companions.Print and hang up posters on community boards, in your outdoor store or fly shop, or wherever others will be able to read it (with appropriate permission). The handouts and posters give you the following:

  • A compelling and exciting introduction to river law, citing the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decisions and Acts of Congress.
  • Opens minds of other people to public rights.
  • How to back up your point with the book, Public Rights on Rivers, which tells the whole story.
