Now you can save rivers, while you save time and money on groceries and supplies. With this system, you order groceries quickly and easily on the web.

Who owns those thousands of miles of rivers? It’s a simple concept: When you purchase groceries through this system, a small portion of your purchase -- which would normally go to supermarket operating costs anyway -- goes instead to the National Organization for Rivers (NORS,) where it will be used to work for public-trust ownership of thousands of miles of rivers that are currently thought to be private. This will save these rivers for your enjoyment and for future generations.

This system will also save you valuable time, time that you could better use taking care of important business, or enjoying rivers and doing other outdoor activities. This system is very fast, faster than any other system for getting groceries. You keep a list of the items you regularly use in your "saved cart," which you modify as desired. You can shop for your weekly groceries in as little as two or three minutes!

This system makes getting groceries more convenient. For example, the tab on what you select is always on the screen. That means you can see the total cost of your purchases immediately, as you put them in your cart!

This is a new system, the first of its kind in many ways, although it is operated by a well-established company called LifeLink. LifeLink operates several state-of-the-art supermarkets, in California and Idaho, similar to new supermarkets near you. It also manufacturers its own line of food and household supplies. The food items include healthy snack bars and low-fat soup mixes--good choices for your next river trip or other outing. The household supplies range from laundry detergent to body lotion. In this system, you can order name-brand products from well-known manufacturers, as well as LifeLink brand products. (Similar to the way you can buy both name-brand and store-brand products at your local supermarket.)

You can't start purchasing groceries from LifeLink directly -- you first need to enroll in the system through a participant, such as NORS.

To find out more, follow these steps:

1. See the web site for the system, at www.lifelinknetwork.com. View the LifeLink philosophy and background, and see the Virtual Store.
